Open beta conditions
LesEye runs as an open beta — we develop and tune the service while it operates. Here is a plain-language account of what the open beta gives you and what you should expect.
1. What the open beta is
The open beta is an introductory period during which LesEye is free for a limited number of accounts (currently up to 100 organizations). The service is under active development: features arrive, change, and occasionally disappear. LesEye is not a finished product yet — and since you pay nothing for it, it cannot carry the guarantees of a finished paid product.
2. What you get
Everything, for free: 15,000 photos a month, 3 trail cameras per account, AI species recognition, notifications, and the mobile and web apps — no credit card required. All we ask in return is a little patience with rough edges and, ideally, feedback to [email protected].
3. What to expect
By creating an account you accept the risks of the open beta:
- Availability: the service may be temporarily unavailable — for maintenance, a failure, or a rollout — sometimes without prior notice.
- Data loss: in rare cases (a software bug, a migration, a storage failure) photos or other data may be lost. The originals remain on your trail camera's SD card — LesEye does not replace it as an archive, so back up shots you care about.
- Notifications: may arrive late or, exceptionally, not at all — do not rely on them for anything critical.
- AI recognition: is an automated estimate and can be wrong, especially on night, blurry, or distant shots.
- Support: we help gladly and usually quickly, but on a best-effort basis — no guaranteed response times.
4. Liability
During the open beta the service is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for service outages, the loss of photos or other data, or damages caused by a missed or delayed notification. Details are in the terms of service. Nothing in these conditions excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Slovak law.
5. How the open beta ends
We may adjust, pause, or end the open beta at any time, and its conditions may change at the official launch. Paid plans will be announced in advance — no charge will ever happen without your explicit consent. You can delete your account and all photos yourself, anytime, right in the app; before the open beta ends we will give you time to download your data.
6. Your agreement
By creating an account you confirm that you are joining the open beta, that you understand the risks above, and that you agree to these conditions and to the terms of service.
