1. Who we are

These terms govern the relationship between you and us when using the service.

2. The service

LesEye is a cloud service for trail cameras: we receive photos your cameras send by email, use AI to suggest the most likely animal species, send you a notification and store the photos in your account's gallery.

3. Your account

Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep your credentials safe. One cloud plan belongs to one account — please don't share an account across unrelated households or hunting grounds.

4. Open beta & pricing

During the open beta, LesEye is free: one plan, 15,000 photos a month, 3 trail cameras per account, and all features including AI recognition, no credit card required. The number of accounts in the open beta is capped (currently at 100). We may introduce paid plans later — we'll announce that in advance, and no charge will happen without your consent.

The free plan may change. LesEye is currently provided free of charge. A free plan does not create an entitlement to any particular photo quota, retention period, number of trail cameras, or feature. We may change, reduce, suspend, or withdraw the free plan — including its monthly photo quota, retention window, camera limit, and AI processing — and we may cap the number of accounts, operate a waiting list, or set eligibility conditions. Because you pay nothing for it, a change to the free plan does not give rise to any refund, credit, or compensation. The free plan is not a trial of, and not a promise of continued access to, any paid plan.

What we promise in return. If we materially reduce or withdraw the free plan, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days in advance. During that notice period you can export your data and delete your account, and we will not apply a shortened photo retention period to photos that are already stored. Changes required for legal or security reasons, or to prevent abuse of the service, may take effect immediately.

By creating an account you join the open beta and agree to its conditions: the service is still evolving, it is not a finished product, it may be temporarily unavailable, and in rare cases photos or other data may be lost.

5. Fair use & quotas

Photos beyond your plan's monthly quota are stored but not analyzed by the AI — recognition resumes with the next month's quota. To keep the service reliable for everyone, we also apply short-term burst throttling per camera — extra frames beyond that limit are simply dropped, with no error sent back to your camera.

6. Cancelling your account

During the open beta there is nothing to pay, so there's nothing to change or cancel — you can delete your account and all your photos yourself, anytime, right in the app. After you cancel your account, we remove your data within 30 days.

7. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and only for cameras and land you have permission to use. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, bypass its limits, or access other users' data.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. We occasionally need planned maintenance — we'll try to give notice ahead of any significant downtime.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is," to the extent permitted by law. Species recognition is an automated, best-effort estimate and may be inaccurate, especially for dark, blurry, distant or obstructed photos; labels and notifications are not a substitute for your own judgement. We are not liable for an incorrectly identified species, missed notifications, delayed or undelivered photos, or damages caused by an outage of your trail camera or internet connection.

As the service is free during the open beta, to the extent permitted by law we are also not liable for the loss of stored photos or other data — the originals remain on your trail camera's SD card, and LesEye does not replace it as an archive. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Slovak law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll let you know about material changes through the app or by email.
